This ukulele has a Denim Sitka spruce top and curly Claro Walnut back and sides. The spruce is from a log used to float a house boat on a remote Alaskan Lake for several decades. The grayish tan color (that was difficult to capture in the sunlight) is a result of minerals from the water and iron nails and straps used to fasten the logs seeping into the wood over time. The result is a top that has the character of spruce with the added ability to be pushed hard without losing its tone.

I love the curl and grain of this walnut. The carbon fiber reinforced neck is black walnut. I wasn't sure they were going to match at first, but once the finish went on they were almost perfect. Thanks to Vince at Pacific Coast Woods
The accents are Quilted Big Leaf maple. The quilt is almost 3D in person.
The rosette and binding are East Indian rosewood.
The fretboard and bridge are Malaysian Blackwood, which is a type of brown ebony with black markings.
Still can't quite get the color right, but you can kind of get a hint in the lower bout. For a better look, check out the this other uke with the same denim top.
This ukulele has a bright tone and keeps its tone, clarity and volume even when played above the 12th fret.
Be sure to check out the sound sample at the bottom of the page.

I love the medullary rays on the spruce. It gives the top a quilted feel.
This uke is a custom for a third time PCH Ukulele buyer in Northern California.
Here is a sound sample for this ukulele graciously done by Ukulele Chad.
Chad is the store manager at Island Bazaar in Huntington Beach, CA, one of the largest ukulele stores in the state. I don't think this is an actual song, just him noodling.
