We will call this use the Curly Blonde Koa. The Koa has a little bit of compression along with the curl and the color is a little lighter than some Koa.

The entire body is from the same board of solid Koa. This uke has a lot more volume than I was expecting. I really sings out.

You can see the compression a little better in this picture. The line down the back is East Indian rosewood that matches the binding.

I really like the look of the back stripe. I will have to start doing that more often.

Binding, fingerboard and bridge are a purplish colored East Indian rosewood that I think matches very well with the Koa.

The rosette is abalone with black and with trim.

The accent woods are a rich walnut burl. The neck is Honduran mahogany with a carbon bar for reinforcement.

As always this uke has a sound side port that allows the player to hear the same sound as the audience.
