This solid Koa tenor has a light "racing stripe" down the middle. The overall color has a slight green cast which makes it kind of unique.
I tend to think that all my ukuleles are easy to play, but for some reason this uke just seems to become part of you when you pick it up. Your fingers just seem automatically find the right place on the fretboard.
The striping on the back is very similar to the front but with a smaller stripe.
I did add an East Indian rosewood back strip which matches the binding.

The accents are big leaf Maple Burl that I really find interesting. The little bit of yellow on the backstrap picture is a reflection, not the color of the wood.

The neck is African Mahogany (Khaya sp.) with a carbon fiber truss rod.
The fingerboard and bridge are East Indian rosewood. Nut and saddle are natural water buffalo bone.

As always, there is a side soundport. The sides match the top and back very nicely.
I really like the sound of this uke. Its very articulate while maintaining the Koa warmth.

The rosette is a thick Paua Abalone. Since the rosette is so thick I decided to go without the abalone purfling this time.
