This solid Koa tenor lovely Carmel color with a nice grain pattern and delicate curl.
The tone is warm and sweet, as you would expect in a Koa tenor.

The back matches the front with an added East Indian rosewood center strip that matches the rosewood binding.
Instead of using a burl, I used a dark koa for the accent woods this time. I liked how it brought out the dark stripes in the body.
The neck is Honduran Mahogany with a carbon fiber truss rod.
The fingerboard and bridge are East Indian rosewood. Nut and saddle are natural water buffalo bone.
As always, there is a side soundport. The sides match the top and back very nicely.
I really like the stripes on the sides.
The rosette and purfling are Paua Abalone with thin black and white striping around the borders. The rosette is a little thicker than I usually use. It was just so pretty, I couldn't resist.
Here is Chad doing a short cell phone (no mixing) sound sample for the Solid Koa Tenor.
I don't know what song this is. Sometimes he just makes things up on the spot. :)
