I am calling this Curly Koa tenor "Starry Night" because of the dark Koa and sparkly Paua Abalone rosette and purfling. This uke has such a sweet mellow sound with a lot of projection for an all Koa uke.
This is an inside picture of the back. This guy has a a lot of very fine curl and some nice color variation.
The binding is curly mango which goes nice with the wood and the Hawaiian theme.
The accents are a Brown Mallee Burl. It goes nice with the light mango binding.
The neck is Honduran Mahogany. The fingerboard and bridge are a dark brown East Indian rosewood as opposed to the more purplish color I sometimes use. Nut and saddle are natural bone.
Come check this one out a Hale Ukulele in San Diego, CA. They will ship.
